Kansas City, Missouri – For anyone in Kansas City who has spent months thinking about a career in law enforcement, this weekend offers a chance to stop wondering and start the process. The Kansas City Police Department is preparing to test its next group of potential recruits on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The opportunity comes with a clear career path and a notable pay range. KCPD says officers at the officer rank can earn between $65,004 and $109,912, while working a schedule of four days on followed by four days off.
Police Recruit Testing will take place at the Kansas City Regional Police Academy, located at 6885 NE Pleasant Valley Road. Check-in for the written examination begins at 8 a.m.
The written exam is the first stage of Saturday’s testing. Applicants who successfully complete that portion will remain at the academy to take the Physical Abilities Test.
