Public invited to discuss Daviess County bridge improvements with MoDOT

Date:

Gallatin, Missouri – The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is set to engage the public on upcoming bridge renovations in Daviess County. These projects aim to enhance road safety and infrastructure resilience, covering two critical bridges: one over Clear Creek and another over Interstate 35.

Public Meeting Scheduled in Gallatin

Community members are invited to attend an open-house meeting concerning the two bridge projects on Tuesday, May 21, at the Gallatin High School Library, located at 602 South Olive Street, Gallatin, MO 64640. The event will take place from 4-6 p.m., allowing residents to drop in at their convenience to learn more about the plans and share their input.

Focus on Community Feedback

During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to review the design and detour plans for the bridge replacement on the Missouri Route 190 bridge over Clear Creek north of Lock Springs, and the rehabilitation project on the Missouri Route 6 bridge over Interstate 35 near Winston. While there will be no formal presentation, MoDOT engineers will be on hand to answer questions and collect feedback directly from the community or through comment forms provided at the meeting.
