Winning streak continues in Jackson County with $50,000 Missouri Lottery ticket purchased in Lee’s Summit

Missouri – Jackson County residents continue their streak of luck in the Missouri Lottery, with another significant prize being claimed, marking the fourth win of $50,000 or more in just five weeks.

The latest win comes from a “500X” Scratchers ticket, which was purchased at Hy-Vee, 301 N.E. Rice Road in Lee’s Summit. The lucky ticket secured a $50,000 prize, which was claimed on February 5 at the Missouri Lottery’s Kansas City regional office. This recent win adds to a series of fortunate lottery outcomes in Jackson County, highlighting the county as a hotspot for significant lottery wins.

Recent wins in the county include a $303,000 Show Me Cash prize in Independence, a $50,000 Scratchers prize in Independence, and a $73,000 Show Me Cash prize in Kansas City.

The “500X” Scratchers ticket, with a retail price of $50, launched on May 30 and has already seen over $89.7 million won by players. Despite these wins, a substantial amount remains up for grabs, with more than $167.9 million in unclaimed prizes still available. This includes two top prizes of $5 million, two $1 million prizes, and 33 additional $50,000 prizes.

In the fiscal year 2023, Jackson County lottery players won over $108.7 million, while retailers received over $9.9 million in commissions and bonuses. Additionally, more than $15.5 million from lottery proceeds were allocated to educational programs within the county.
