Kansas City hosts career fair to welcome federal workers into local government roles and accelerate municipal workforce revitalization

Kansas City, Missouri – In a planned attempt to rebuild its municipal workforce, Kansas City is extending a warm invitation to impacted Federal workers for a career fair set for early April. This project is part of the city’s strategic plan to utilize the skills of former public officials and incorporate them into its different departments.   The fair will be place today, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Bartle Hall’s 2400 Lobby, located at 1500 Central, with free parking for all visitors.

Recognizing the substantial contributions and broad expertise that public sector employees bring to the table, Kansas City is eager to tap into this valued pool of professionals. The fair is not only an employment opportunity but a platform for former Federal workers to transition their talents and ideas into roles that increase local government effectiveness and community participation.
