Missouri invites residents statewide to attend 2026 Governor’s Prayer Breakfast in Jefferson City early next year

Date:

Missouri – Missourians from across the state are being invited to come to Jefferson City early next year for the 2026 Governor’s Prayer Breakfast. This is an annual event that focuses on faith, reflection, and public service. The event will be held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, which is just a few streets from the State Capitol. Governor Mike Kehoe and First Lady Claudia Kehoe will attend the event.

The prayer breakfast will happen at the start of Missouri’s 2026 legislative session. This is a long-standing tradition that brings together elected officials, community leaders, and residents to think about their common values before lawmakers get to work for the year. Anyone can come to the event, and the media will be able to cover it.

The theme for this year is “One Nation Under God.” It is meant to stress the importance of faith and service in leading both state and national governments. The organizers said that the program will focus on togetherness, contemplation, and responsibility, giving people a chance to think about the values that guide public life in Missouri.

At 7:10 a.m., guests will be admitted, and breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. There will be prayer, music, and a keynote speech as part of the event. The ceremony is set to stop at 9 a.m., so people may go on with their day at the Capitol and across the city.
